    Jordan Bitove

    Jordan’s distinguished career at the forefront of Canadian business includes real estate, hospitality, distribution and experiental marketing. In 1998 he founded, Vision Companies; which went on to be responsible for Canada’s Walk of Fame and much more. As a leader in Canada’s sports industry, Jordan helped launch the Toronto Raptors basketball team and was part of the ownership consortium that built the SkyDome (now Rogers Centre). He also helped orchestrate Toronto’s 2008 Olympics bid.

    Since 2013 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Clearstream Energy Services. Mr. Bitove currently sits on the Board of Trustees for SickKids Foundation. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto International Film Festival, the Board of Governors of Western University, and the Canadian Advisory Board for Right to Play. In 2012, he was a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal for his philanthropic work.

    He is a graduate of Western University and holds the position of Honorary Consul to the Republic of North Macedonia.

    Neil Oliver

    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Oliver is Chief Executive Officer of Torstar Corporation. He was appointed to the position on November 24, 2022 after serving as Chief Executive Officer and President of Metroland Media Group since June 1, 2022, overseeing the division’s 70-plus community and six daily newspapers. Before that, Mr. Oliver was Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President of Torstar from May 2021 to June 2022. Prior to that, Mr. Oliver was Executive Vice President of Torstar and President of Daily News Brands at Torstar from October 2017 to April 2021 and as Vice President and Group Publisher at Metroland from September 2006 to September 2017. Mr. Oliver has spent more than 37 years at Torstar and Metroland, beginning as a sales representative at the Burlington Post. He has served, or is serving, on several boards and advisory committees, including News Media Canada, Delivery Ink and Sheridan College. Mr. Oliver holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Leicester in Great Britain.

    David Peterson

    Chair

    The Hon. David R. Peterson, P.C., Q.C., O.Ont., C. St. J., C.L.H., D.U., L.L.D., is Chairman Emeritus of the law firm of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, where he practises corporate / commercial law. Mr. Peterson is Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Toronto, a director of St. Michael’s Hospital and was Chairman of the successful Toronto Bid for 2015 Pan Am Games. In September 2013, Mr. Peterson accepted the nomination to become Chair of the Toronto 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games Organizing Committee (TO2015).
